The yellow portion provides good weather protection. Contrary to the description, however, the black ring is not threaded. As a result, my cord with this cover will not reliably stay plugged in. It will have to look for another product to serve the same purpose.

The product is very good. Be very careful when buying these covers because they make one to fit the "plug" and one to fit the "connector." If you put them side by side you can't tell the difference unless you look inside and see the difference in the depth which won't be seen if you are not liking for it. If you put the wrong one on the "connector" the threaded ring won't reach the threads on the other side.

When looking at boat connections of various types (electric, cable, phone, etc.), you typically see Marinco. There is good reason why. It is durable, easy to install/maintain, and lasts for many years. Great products for a good price. I would recommend.
