I like the finger rings for unplugging.

It's okay and will do the job as a 6-50 plug. It could use some design improvements however.Like its female counterpart, the ETL sticker is applied over both halves of the plug, which is poor foresight.I like the idea behind it, allowing you to easily grab the plug and if needed get some force behind it. Frequently the NEMA 6-50's can be stubborn, so I like this aspect. The prongs on this plug however slide quite easily.Wiring it was annoying. Its design requires a lot of wire to be un-jacketed in order to wire the ground lug. Due to the plugs center screw post, the ground wire can't pass through the middle. It also can't go on the left side, because the top half of the plug has a protrusion preventing this. The ground wire must pass along the right side. Naturally, I tried the other two first. The screw terminals on the hot pins are a decent design, allowing the full wire to be placed and pinched. The ground pin however (again) is problematic and is a different design, requiring you to split the wire into two and pass them on either side of the screw. It would have been better to have the same design as the hot pin lugs. So, yes it works. But it was also the most annoying 6-50 plug I've ever wired. Thankfully I won't need to do it again. I do feel the "box-store" 6-50s are a more robust design.

I got this (and a 6-50R) to put new ends on my welder extension cord, and it does the job pretty well. It also has an extra blade you can use to convert it to a 6-30P. The wire routing is a little funny inside, but it works, and the plug/unplug action is about 10x smoother now that both sides of the connection have been replaced. The case feels a little lightweight, but that is offset by the 'brass knuckle' loops that really help with disconnecting the cords.Love it!

This male plug from Nema is a nice safe male plug for high amperage applications. Good quality construction results in a nice safe connection for high amperage devices. Won't overload like standard outlets.

This heavy-duty power plug is perfect for DIY wiring projects. The ability to switch between NEMA 6-30P and 6-50P is a great feature, and the included extra terminal makes it even more versatile. Solid construction and easy to install—highly recommend for anyone needing a reliable welder power plug!
