Just needed to get more leverage out of the stabilizer I already had. 5" extension sounded about right, allows me to use a 4.5 oz stabilizer instead of a heavier one. It does make your bow longer but good follow through is more important than dimensions. I could get a heavier stabilizer but I'd rather save a few oz. I got mine to hunt. I take the stabilizer off and put it in a pocket until I'm ready to shoot something. Not rocket science to make a carbon extension so this is a great solution for the price!

When you boil things down...an archery stabilizer is just a stick with a weight at the end. More expensive stabilizers offer some advantages, lighter stick...even more vibration dampening...but if you are just starting out in target archery, and looking for a cheaper option to the Shrewds, AAEs, and other preferred archery brands...you can't go wrong with this stabilizer. For the price, you can't beat it. It's not fancy, but it does the job, and I definitely have a much more stable hold when I use this than when I don't. That said, I have only been shooting with the 30" for a short while, so I don't know if it will hold up to long term daily use, but I see no reason why I won't get my money's worth out of it. I have had the 12" bars for about a year, and those have held up just fine...so I feel pretty confident the 30" will too. Stabilizers are a personal choice, and I am still early enough in my target archery experience that I am still trying to figure out what combination of stabilizers, extensions, v-bars, and the like will work best with me, my bow, and my shooting. While I am figuring all that out, I would really prefer not to break the bank, so this lower cost stabilizer was a great choice. Plus, you can still add additional weights to the end to customize your stabilization even further. All in all, very satisfied with this purchase and given how expensive archery can be, it is nice to find options that can offer improvements to performance without breaking the bank.

Great stabilize. Stiff and light. I think for the longest length this is available in it's light enough without too much vibration.
