When I first got horses I felt like the debate for whether to blanket or not was a lot to take in. Since then I have acquired two older rescues. I felt like they just looked miserable. I broke down and got blankets. I figured I would know whether or not they liked them or not. Well, my two older guys love them! They went from staying in the barn to beating me out in the snow in the morning.I like having different weights because after all I don’t want them to sweat or overheat . This blanket provides excellent protection. The color works because they still roll and if it was a lighter color, I know that the dirt would stand out. Overall I am pleased with this blanket for my older gelding.

This has a strong plastic noise when you get it out of the package. Light-medium weight. Fit my 16,1' hand quarter draft with plenty of room.
