Great camera to capture your road trips.

I’d ordered this camera September 3 2021 and got it on the 7th, fast delivery was great.Negatives in my view:My only three arguments with this product are:(1) It’s designed to stay in your vehicle and “this drives me nuts!!!” But in today’s world all of these dash cams are designed in this manner, it’s as if the manufactures are asking for your vehicles windows to be smashed and the product to be stolen as a way of forcing you to purchase another. “So I don’t care for this.”(2) It has a continuous flashing light so if it’s left in your vehicle, even if a thief didn’t have knowledge of there being a dash cam in your vehicle this light is certain to draw their attention and bring them running straight to a $160.00 camera and they’ll have no problems breaking out your windows to get after it. This light flashes even when the battery is too low to support the cameras working. It’s like I’ve said “it’s as if the manufactures are asking for your vehicles windows to be smashed and the product to be stolen as a way of forcing you to purchase another.”(3) The suction cup that supposedly mounts the dash cam to your windshield or wherever you’re planning on mounting it is not a suction cup at all; it’s more of a stick-on cup.Remove the cover wrap from the suction and you’ll feel this sticky crap that’ll hold it to your mounting point.After six mounts, mine stopped mounting. There is no suction mount. Turn the locking level clockwise and it does suck into place; for about 20 seconds before it free falls. Lucky for me I’d already had my power cord connected and this prevented the camera from breaking if it’d fallen to the floor.Positives in my view:(1) I LOVE the color touch screen as it’s easy to navigate for reasons of settings.(2) The stability of the video and photo recording are great.(3) Two thumbs up on the 155-degree wide angle lens.(4) Front view is great as well as the rear view; but the dual view is confusing. Meaning, that if you’re driving using dual view. When you look at the camera it’s hard to distinguish where the rear ends and the front begins. The manufacturer should’ve placed an outline around the rear view for separation.(5) I haven’t yet had a need for the Motion Detector or the Parking Mode but the Audio Recording also gets both of my thumbs up.(6) Both front and rear camera’s are good and clear and your device does come with everything listed in the box being: T4 Dash Camera, Car Mount, Car Charger with USB Cable, Rear Camera with 26-foot USB Cable, User Guide Warranty Card and a 32GB SD card.All-in-all, 3 negatives and 6 plus positives; I’ll give it a go as it’s a good dash cam and I like it.On my own, I'll need to figure out how to keep it mounted. I mean, do I glue it in place or do I nail it to my windshield? Suggestions welcomed.

Only 3 stars because of the dock. It will lose suction some days, most likely due to big temperature swings. My larger issue is that is shakes a lot. This probably only affects vehicles with harder suspension (like commercial utes) on country roads. I haven't tried running the video through an image stabiliser but from what I saw straight out of the memory card the video wouldn't have been very useful on its own.Probably a 4 or 5 star camera in a car that rides smoothly on decent roads.

Having owned 4-5 other dash cams over the years, I must say without a doubt this is the best one I've owned yet. If for no other reason to purchase this one, it's for the touch screen. Do yourself a favor and don't buy any camera that is not touch screen...it makes life SO much easier.My last camera was not touch screen and when I needed to replay a video after an incident; I spent 10 minutes pressing buttons trying to figure out the menu system. Because it's typically low light inside the car, and the menu buttons are typically not labeled and VERY small, it's really difficult to figure out how to navigate the menu system, especially if you're a bit shaken up by an event that just occurred, as I was.The T4's touch screen menu system is so easy, you literally do not need to read the user's guide. And with the 4" screen, you can read a license plate when you play back the video. The rear camera works GREAT!! In fact, I use it as a back-up camera and just leave it on "rear view" only at all times, which is very handy when changing lanes because it will show you cars behind you that are in your blind spot. So, that in itself is worth the price of admission!As far as setup, it's a no brainer. The 26' cable for the backup camera is more than enough for any car! I ran the cable under the trim from the front to the back and mounted the camera on the trim using the 3M double-side adhesive pad that came with it. Zero issues! I love that I can view the dash cam with Picture-in-Picture to show both rear and front, front only, rear only, or turn it off. But as I mentioned, I leave it on “rear view only” at all times. Regardless of which view you have it on, it will always record front and rear video at all times.I can't stress enough the simplicity of a touch screen menu...once you use a touch screen dash cam, you'll never go back to buttons!Video resolution/quality is great...no complains there!
