This works well with mounting radio triggers. I use my Cactus V5 radio triggers (transceivers) with it. It also mounts flashes, but I have found that sometimes mounting and removing the flash shoe itself is somewhat more tedious than the triggers. I suppose that is because the flash shoes themselves have more pins than the V5 triggers (my Yongnuo and Pentax flash shoes have several pins and the V5 has only one pin on shoe).

Difficult to tighten and keep the shoe pointed in the right direction. Nice that it has the stop pin though.

Not fancy -- but it doesn't need to be; it gets the job done, and makes mounting of many accessories easily possible. Have used it with speed lights, mics, etc -- and all fit fine. :)
