The cover had a large amount of what looked like hulls, dust and lint on the cover. I debated washing it since it was so dirty but the interior cotton inner cover seems to be torn. May return.

The buckwheat feels great on the knees.

When this first showed up I was somewhat worried it wouldn't fit my sitting posture. I'm five foot ten but my knees couldn't come to a rest on the mat as I'm accustomed to place them from prior practice. Ultimately, I should have paid more attention to the dimensions and pictures, but I leave this as my honest impression.Sitting on it flat, however, was surprisingly comfortable. The cushion provides enough support that I don't feel undue strain on my knees as the shins are posted nicely in place by the contours my by getting into seated position.My Zafu pillow (the smaller one to place on top) arrived today so I could try it out in earnest. It was a little larger than I expects, and on top of the small mat, I had to place my pillow near the back, which is not what I had in mind.Luckily this was an extremely comfortable position, so while I may have to adjust myself to the middle when I sit on this mat, it's an acceptable hassle. If it was just a bit wider, it would be an easy five stars, and I think it's more on me as a consumer for not knowing to get a larger size. Still! haha

Meditation requires you to free your mind and that is hard to accomplish in the wrong, even painful, position. This fabulous meditation cushion allows me to create the perfect posture that supports my spine. It’s quite wonderful!

This is my first buckwheat cushion experience and won't be my last; considering swapping out my memory foam pillows as well.Good butt support and can sit on this for long periods of time. I have this placed on a tatami mat.And as a refugee myself; much respect to this company Waterglider International for hiring refugees.
