I've ordered several different band heaters from Amazon. All accept this one have been significantly misrepresented on their true wattage. These test at about 350 watts. Other vendors 380 watt heaters have been between 80 and 180 watts. So these shine in comparison.These heat so well I've had to put a timer on the heat cycles. If you turn the on and leave them on they'll melt through the stainless steel band clamp. I burned out my first 2 due to this and had to add a cycle timer to cycle them on and off so they don't burn out. I'd rather have that problem than the heater taking an hour to get to temp.
