I've had a breville barista Express for close to 9 years. I try and take good care of it, so it's in pretty good shape still. When I purchased it the silicone cleaning puck it came with had a small hole in the center, I guess this was the original design. It allowed for some water to run through the silicone puck, thereby bleeding off some pressure. Evidently this was changed over time, the newer machines have silicone pucks which fully occlude the group head, containing all the pressure and cleaning better. If you have an older machine, or if you have one of the silicone pucks with the hole in it, buy these and swap them. These are substantially better, and clean your machine well.

Great replacement! Works as intended, and was identical to the name brand ones. I have the barista pro and it fit well into the single basket.

This cleaning disk works great, and as advertised. I had to write a review, especially when I saw someone give it a one star review because it doesn't have a hole. Well, duh! That's how it works! The seller even says:"There is no water outlet hole at the center of disc, it can clean your machine better because the reflux system of machine require a closed environment."At any rate, this work really well for the price, it was even better than the one that came with the machine and a lot easier to remove than a metal blind basket.

The breville machine came with one and it didnt work these are great replacements
