Easy to carry when I go to the antique stores checking for uranium glass. Also shows stains on carpet or furniture. If I needed one for a crime scene clean-up, I think it would help me erase evidence.

I was actually surprised at how substantial the flash light was. Great quality exterior and light strength. I gave a quick test although the space was not totally dark it still showed the dust and participles. I have not yet given it a proper test run but I do not doubt it will gross me out! Only did 4* as I have not yet put it through a rigorous test yet.

This is amazing! Our cat used to never use its litter box (now it does around 90% of the time, so that's nice...) which made coming home from work was always a scavenger hunt with an unpleasant prize. This works perfectly on carpets to find out where the pee smell is coming from, and works well on hardwood and tiles floors too. Only downside is that the room needs to be dark, so it can be tough to spot anything during the day.Edit: So over time this seemed to be less effective on repeat "accident" areas, I purchased a second UV light with less nm (365-370 I think) and it's even more incredible, the heavy purple light from this one can be overpowering and drowns out some stains, but the fainter light illuminates them strongly, however the other light requires it to be much darker in the room than this one.

Was suspicious of cats peeing and the flashlight proved the cats guilty! I ordered two of these, one works well and the other seems to be somewhat defective as the light just isn't as bright. I was using brand new batteries. Will send one back but keep the other. I am satisfied as to how well this works.

Yes, this product works as advertised. Even though I trust my 2 dogs to go outside, sometimes accidents occur. This light produces the evidence for a guilty verdict.....now I just have to figure out which of the two did it....LOL. Use it once a week or so just to keep everyone honest and to keep odors under control.This light is super bright and doesn't miss anything. I am going to give it with my sister who just got a new puppy. I just ordered the 100 light urine detector for myself. This would make a great gift for anyone who has a new four legged family member.
