We bought these for my nine-year-old who does travel ball. He’s nine years old and is 4’10” for reference.

The waistband fits great, but the leg holes are enormous. It's so strange. Not a great fit at all.

I saw other reviews stating this and for the price, hoped it wouldn't be the case for us but it was. The waist fit as it should but the leg openings were way too lose, like baggy boxers. And the hole for the cup went down super low so my 6yr old spent majority of the time on the field adjusting it. He said it was uncomfortable and wasn't covering his bits as it was literally just hanging in front of him instead of snuggly against him. Would not recommend.

My son who is 11 years old and an average size has worn the peewee size of this product before and since we have been trying to find another one in youth size to fit. We have been unsuccessful so when we saw the same brand of what he used a couple of years ago and loved we hurry up an ordered a pair. The briefs are a perfect fit however the protective athletic cup is so large that it rubbed my son's thighs and caused a friction burn. He said it kept moving around. So, the second game we took the athletic cup from the peewee pair we had and put it in these briefs and they were perfect. I am a mom and am no expert on the male anatomy and what is considered a small or a large but according to my husband he is of average size for a boy his age. He said that the my son didn't really need the support as a peewee but wanted him to get used to it younger. When comparing the peewee cup and the youth cup there is a very large size difference. My husband feels the youth size should be more like High School boys.
