The item produces one helluva spark.Please be carefull that you dont touch the wires (like Idid).Yes it will jump a 1/2 to 3/4 inch gap.I used the little battery holder,sold online,and it held 4 1.5v AA batteries for a total of 6volts. This item is the real deal Does it produce 450000 vots? I dont know but yes it does work well.

More powerful than expected and especially for the size. I use it with a 18650 lithium battery and it's enough. I've made some test with one module about 30 times so far during short period of time which was less than 5 sec and the unit still working fine. I intend to use it just for igniting welding torch. I don't think it's made for using during long period of time though , but considering the low price , I gave it 5 stars.

It's works great and give you the extra boost you expect. I used one to make a taser and it works great highly recommend.

With a 3.7 volt lithium battery these well produce about 1⁄2" spark
