Not sure where these good ratings for Yonico router bits are coming from but they're wrong. I'm an experienced woodworker and these bits are junk. By the second use they became woodburning, dull and useless. I have several other brands that I've used for years and they still perform well. What a waste of $140 (I bought several) not to mention a lot of sanding to get rid of the burn marks. Buy a better brand such as Freud.

I ordered two of these about ten days ago and received them in a reasonable amount of time. I am well pleased with their performance and would highly recommend this manufacturer to anyone looking for a great value in a quality bit. I bought them to ogee almost 850 linear feet of 2x6 Doug fir that I was prepping for hand rails and cross members on an exterior deck. I ordered two because I was reasonably sure that I was going to dull one bit before I finished my project and didn’t want to have to reorder a second one in the middle of the job. As it happens, one bit did the job and wasn’t even breathing hard at the last foot. Cut was clean and crisp through the whole project and the perceived pressure needed seemed consistent from start to finish. Fir has a reputation for tearing out, especially on the ends. I had no problem whatsoever with tear-out, however did baby the ends a bit. I did a little bump cutting and climb cutting but I suspect I would have had no problem if I just let ‘er rip.I have a few higher end bits including a couple Freuds. I can’t honestly say that these Yonicos should be hidden in the shame drawer with my Freuds sitting on my bench. A 9/16 ogee is a good test for a bit manufacturer’s quality. It’s got enough complexity with a pretty beefy stock removal that a satisfactory performance speaks well of its manufacturer. And at Yonico’s price points it’s a no-brainer. I think highly enough of my experience with these bits that I ordered the 70 piece set.Just a side note: I did use two passes through the entire project. The last time I did an edging job of this size with a pricy bit, I started by cutting a 45 degree chamfer with my table saw to remove a big chunk of stock to make it more router-friendly. I am every bit as happy with my experience with these Yonico bits.

Son las mejores, la pintura amarilla en verdad es teflón anti-adherente (a diferencia de las imitaciones que se piratearon el color y el acabado). Compre imitaciones y me arrepentí, nada que comparar cpn YONICO.

Excellent quality router bit for a great price! Holds a good edge and good quality bearing on it too! Great value, really recommend.

The bit is decently made, but poorly engineered. It is an anti-kickback designed bit, but there is so much metal behind the carbide that the chips do not clear, but are pulled through the cut giving the cut surface a dented, burnished look. To correct for this, you have to take a ridiculous number of tiny cuts. Buy a better bit: Whiteside.
