These hatch out cute little dinosaur figures only downside is a toddlers lack of patience waiting for them to hatch.

These are a great buy if you are a store owner and want to resell. They come in individual packages with an individual tag on each. Each colored egg has a different dinosaur to coordinate with the color. Expect for there to be a lot of mess left over after it dissolves in the water though. That stuff can't go down the drain!

Put these in little gift bags for a one-year-old bday party. Older kids loved them as much as the little kids. The shells tend to leave a little paint behind so careful if you do it in the tub, and the Dinos take a day or so to reach their full size so be prepared to wait.

Most of the dinosaurs that emerged from these eggs don't look anything like the photos shown. They are much more oddly shaped. They look like mutant dinosaurs - one small foot, one big foot, lopsided (won't stand up). They are all mostly just yellow, except for one that absorbed the pink paint from the egg shell. Some of them cracked in an interesting way, but some just split open along straight seams in the middle. A few didn't open at all, but we just pried them open. However, all this being said, they worked for what I need them for - a 5th grade science class demonstration about super absorbent polymers and physical changes. My students had a lot of fun with this project. They were so eager to observe the eggs each day as we waited for them to "hatch". After the water evaporates and the dinosaurs shrink back down, showing the change was reversible, we will have finished a lesson that I would do again.

I am really sorry I bought these Hatch-growing eggs. They were quite expensive for 12 of them and the dinosaurs do not grow. Call me naive, but when the ad says you can watch them grow, I thought once they were out of the egg they might grow more. Well, they don't. As a matter of fact I put two of these eggs in water and left them two days and they just sat there and looked at me. But my very young grandsons figured out that you could just turn them and they would open. So I put the dinosaurs in the water thinking maybe they would grow more. They didn't. Actually they are made to fit into the egg and when you take them out they are about an inch and a half big. My grandsons were not impressed at all! Don't waste your money!
