Serie HS
Desde la década de 1970, el icónico woofer blanco y el sonido característico de los monitores de referencia de campo cercano de Yamaha se han convertido en un genuino estándar de la industria por una sencilla razón: su precisión.
A diferencia de los monitores de estudio, que incorporan frecuencias añadidas para bajos o agudos y que pueden parecer más favorecedores en la primera escucha, los altavoces de la serie HS fueron diseñados para proporcionar la referencia más fiable y precisa posible, proporcionando una base sonora ideal en todo el proceso de mezcla.
Al combinar su experiencia y conocimientos adquiridos con tecnologías de última generación, el equipo de ingenieros de altavoces de Yamaha ha examinado y luego optimizado cada uno de los aspectos que han contribuido a convertir estos monitores en los más fiables.
Transductores de nueva creación
La serie HS incorpora unos transductores de reciente creación que ofrecen una respuesta increíblemente precisa sobre un ancho de banda de amplio espectro.
Estos transductores utilizan un diseño de campo magnético avanzado, que regula el flujo de la respuesta magnética, obteniendo transiciones sonoras extremadamente naturales.
Diseño de caja de baja resonancia
Las cajas de la serie HS fueron diseñadas para eliminar las resonancias no deseadas y para aumentar la precisión durante la reproducción hasta límites extremos. Las cajas han sido fabricadas con MDF muy denso y resistente, con una respuesta acústica amortiguada, resultando ideales para los monitores de referencia.
Gracias a la experiencia de más de 100 años en el diseño de pianos de Yamaha, los ingenieros encargados de la serie HS utilizaron la tradicional técnica de junta a inglete de tres vías
Tecnología de reducción de ruidos de última generación
El diseño de los puertos de los altavoces pueden influir significativamente en la claridad del sonido total. En ocasiones, un vórtice producido en cualquier extremo del puerto puede generar vibraciones causadas por el aire en el interior del puerto. Gracias a una tecnología avanzada de reducción de ruidos que incorpora un análisis exhaustivo de la representación visual del sonido, los ingenieros de Yamaha han podido controlar y reducir este vórtice.
A través de este análisis profundo, hemos logrado diseñar este puerto ideal, alcanzando una reducción del ruido audible de hasta 6 dB. El uso de esta tecnología punta permite que los monitores de estudio de la serie HS cubran las demandas de los entornos de producción profesional más exigentes.

The Yamaha HS5 studio monitors provide a rich full sound for home recording and general music playback. The bi-amplified tweeter and 5” woofer has better than expected highs and lows and plenty of power for a desktop setup. I’m using them in a 10’ x 12’ room. I recommend the HS5’s for purchase.

I just received these, long overdue replacements for the Wharfedale Diamond 8.1 ProActive speakers for my vintage Yamaha P90 stage keyboard, whose tweeters went InActive over time. I'd gotten used to living with anemic volume levels as well, in that normal volumes were accompanied by audible hiss.Taking a chance, in that some reviews of the HS5 Yamaha speakers also mention audible hiss, I was elated to hear NO hiss from either speaker, and with keyboard and speaker volumes all set at half scale, fantastically loud, yet distortion-free replication of the concert grand piano voice for which Yamaha keyboards are famous.I still own and use a Yamaha NS Series R-700 tuner amp from the '70's, and as a Yamaha (principally) motorcycle mechanic in the mid-60's and mid-70's I learned early-on that they were tops in design and build quality throughout the industry, at least until the 1972 TX750's release was driven by marketing and broke the unbreakable rule of never using the public as a guinea pig.I'll revise this review if time introduces something new, but for now the audiophile in me is FULLY satisfied with these diminutive dynamos. I can now understand why many call them industry standards.

I was hesitant at first to get these since I first purchased the Yamaha HS3 and was very disappointed with them. THey did sound good but had no real usable volume, so I returned them and got these HS5's.What a huge difference these are. These will get loud enough for my use. I got these as home studio monitors for recording but also as my main way of amplifying my guitar amp modelers such as my Boss GT1000 and Amplitube 5. Before I was using some Mackie Reference monitors, while sound good listening to produced music I felt I was missing something while just playing guitar thru them.Well I was right. These H5's are producing sounds so well and clear that my delays and reverbs had to toned down because now I can actually hear them, no wonder my modeler didnt sound quiet right.Just as an FYI, make sure you use the good TRS or XLR cables as these can pick up interference easier then traditional multimedia speakers. They arent as well shielded as a lot of other speakers.Overall extremely happy with these. My guitar now sounds much closer to a real amp.

Why does every piece of clothing from China smell so bad? I want Amazon to start stating: "Made and shipped from China" in the description of the item. I find clothing made in the USA to be of so much better quality. I have stopped purchasing anything from China. Even whey I go to Macy's, Khols, etc. No More! Quality is very poor. Tops usually peel terribly after washing and looks like a very old garment. I have had to throw out so many tops, Made in China.It is worth spending more money and buying garments from our home Country...USA.

This is a good casual, comfy top. its's got a nice wide bias collar and large elastic at the wrist, which gives it a dressy look. The fabric is soft and has a good stretch to it. The longer rounded hem makes it easy to wear with a skirt, jeans or leggings.

Seems like a nice quality top, very comfortable. I'm 5'1" and the length was far too long. If it had been a straight cut hem, it might've worked. The curved front and back hem came down too far to be workable.

I love the way this shirt looks on. It fits great and it really flattering. I thought the rouched sleeves might be annoying or too tight since they are elastic but they are still comfortable. I actually ended up liking that it helped them not to ride up. The only gripe I have is that the color is listed as Olive Green. The one I got should be called Turquoise or Peacock in terms of describing the color. I love the color though so I didn't mind- but if you wanted Olive Green specifically, you aren't going to get it. Still a great shirt!!!
