This MIDI interface works fine, low latency, easy to connect. However when using continuous controllers like expression pedals, it'll send the odd corrupted byte here and there, and it fails hard when sending/receiving SYSEX dumps. Use a real cable for SYSEX.I love that the interface is powered off the MIDI port. No charging is required, unliked other wireless MIDI devices I've bought.

I love this system! It's VERY well priced, uses the power from the midi out, to power it, seems to have good range, has very low or imperceptible latency, and there are never any batteries to replace or charge. It just works exactly as advertised. I used to use the midi jet pro, and that system just plain sucked b@77$... This system is SO MUCH better.

These things are amazing and as simple as it gets for Plug and Play. I have an old Yamaha KX5 MIDI controller (Keytar) and have always struggled with that long 100' MIDI cable. Every gig, that cable either got caught on a monitor, or someone would step on it, or it just ended up in knots. I'm a bit old school and didn't even realize that wireless MIDI was a thing. I took a chance on these X-VIVE Adapters and it worked perfectly. You will however need to purchase two units for it to work. Your Host/Source keyboard will need one set to go in to both the MIDI In and Out, the MIDI controller will need just the Main Adapter

I use it to connect my Alesis Nitro drum kit via Bluetooth to my MacBook for recording in Ableton. It works incredibly well, and doesn’t require any power. I don’t notice any latency. The small connection instruction paper looks easy to lose, so I’m leaving them here just in case-Go (top bar) > Audio MIDI Setup > Window (top bar) > Show MIDI Studio > Bluetooth icon > Connect

I got this to use with OnSong on my iPad to control my Axe Fx III and Korg Kronos keyboard. I have it plugged into the MIDI in & out my Axe (which gives it power) and use a standard MIDI cable going out of the MIDI Thru to the MIDI in of my keyboard. So when I switch a song, it changes presets and/or parameters on the Axe and the keyboard all at once.Things will occasionally disconnect; but I don't know if it's the iPad, OnSong, midimittr (the app used to talk to the bluetooth MIDI function) or what, so I can't necessarily blame it on this dongle. If I keep having issues, I'll probably try out a different dongle, like the Yamaha one. If I get flawless performance from a different one, then I can attribute those dropouts on this dongle, and I'll update my review accordingly.
