These are definitely better than using long tweezers. Easy to use. Perfect length for not getting your finger bit by your snake/reptile by mistake. Worth the price. Good quality products.

Finally found tongs that can hold a large frozen/thawed prey item without it slipping out! The long handle means my hands stay farther away from the food and the scissor style handle means it is easy to hold and my hand doesn't cramp up on feeding day like it did with my old tweezer style ones. Holding up really well with heavy use.

I really only needed these for the smaller skinnier pair of feeding tongs but they all look to be great feeding tongs. I can easily see these as being able to grip a rat to feed to a snake or something they’re comfortable and feel sturdy in the hand.

I have a terrible time griping my snake's thawed meals with traditional tongs so I hoped these would be a good option where I could hold onto them a bit better when offering food.Unfortunately, the gripper teeth in these tongs are very tall and sharp, so if you have more delicate prey items (think mice or rat hoppers, pups, weanlings, etc.) it will damage the prey animal's skin, which can make for a pretty messy feeding. These do grip very well, so I think if you have a very large reptile that is eating something like rabbits (though anything bigger you'd have trouble holding onto with them) they might be functional tongs but for most keepers, these aren't a great solution. These are also 100% NOT SAFE to use for picking up any live animal. You could very easily injure a pet trying to do so.My test sets also arrived with some manufacturing(?) plastic coating jammed up under the scissor pivot screws that I tried to remove with tweezers but eventually gave up on clearing away so that was not a great thing to deal with either.

These work really well for their intended purpose. I have a ball python, who gets fed large and extra large frozen rats (warmed to body temp). They definitely grip the rat very easily, without poking holes or ripping its body to shreds. I can pick the rat up with these and move it around easily. They are long enough to keep my hand out of the way. My snake is very friendly, so I’ve never been concerned about her biting me, but it is nice knowing I won’t accidentally get bitten somehow. The reason I took off a star is because they rust very easily. I left them in our sink to wash them and, within a day, they had already rusted a decent amount. I mean, they are metal and that’s a risk with metal, but I didn’t have them soaking in water or in the sink for a long time. It would be nicer if they were made of or coated with a rustproof material.Besides the rust issue, they feel like a quality item. They feel heavy duty, like they have some weight on them. The tips have little grooves on the end, making it easier to grip whatever it’s holding. There is soft plastic on the other end, making it more comfortable to hold and use. The value for your money is amazing. I couldn’t find a better deal on Amazon. As regards to the blue plastic sticker that’s on the metal tips to protect them at shipment, which keeps getting mentioned in the comments….the sticker is annoying and useless. It’s so unnecessary and so ridiculously difficult to remove. You definitely end up with blue pieces all over it, that just refuse to come off. It’s an easy solve though with an adhesive remover like Goof Off.Overall, it’s a good buy for my needs.
