This worked to cure my shifting problem on a 2005 Honda trx400fa. The auto function did not work, would not shift gears at all,this allowed manual shifting. All this after replacing shift motor angle sensor and wiring harness, this was all that was required.

The harness was plug and play. however, the supplied ecu connectors were grey, and on the bike, the grey connector was the wrong connector, use the green connector on the bike side for 06 trx400fa (rancher 400at). No supplied paper instructions but was really an easy hookup.

Did not fix the problem. In fact I was worse. Sent back and was refunded.

I installed it and it had a delayed shift in every gear from first to fifth. Then, it would only downshift to fourth. Now it’s stuck in fourth gear.

Arrived on within the scheduled delivery time. All of the connections hooked up how they were supposed to. The only issue that I really had is after it had been hooked up and I attempted to use the four-wheeler the gear selectors were reversed so I had to change the wires around in that connection. After I did that it worked perfectly fine. I would order again.
