Easy to install. Make sure to carve out the notch in the back of the ice maker so the water tube will fit. This was a replacement for my Whirlpool model ED2FHEXNS00. Fit like a glove!

I have a 28 year old Whirlpool side by side which I do not want to part with due to the compact footprint. The ice maker quit working on a Friday, and I searched both eBay and Amazon for a replacement. I chose to pay about $9 more for the Amazon aftermarket ice maker than an OEM Whirlpool ice maker off eBay in order to receive the ice maker the next day with Prime. Replacement took about 10-15 minutes and only required a 1/4" nut driver. The new ice maker works great. In order to remove the wiring harness from the old ice maker and transfer to the new ice maker, remove the front cover to access the release tab on the harness connector.

Entregado antes de la fecha establecida. Bien empacado. Tal y como lo describe. Incluye los cables conectores y accesorios para la instalación.Ya lo instalé y estoy esperando a que inicie a funcionar porque requiere que esté a la temperatura del congelador para poder arrancar, pero todo indica que sí está muy bien el producto. El conector no es del tipo de mi refrigerador pero utilicé el cable que tenía el aparato anterior, ya que la conexión del nuevo es igual y le queda el cable anterior.La instalación es muy sencilla, no requiere mano de obra especializada ni contratar a ningún técnico. Lo único que tuve que hacer fue cortar una parte ( que ya viene previamente marcada ) en donde entra la manguera que alimenta el agua, para que se acoplara exactamente y evitar derrames.

Icemaker installs easy enough albeit its a tight squeeze with a side by side .make sure to compare the arm with your old one , mine came with the arm bent the opposite direction and not noticing at first , left it on and it was throwing ice all over the place. I had not thrown the old one out yet and swapped them . works fine , but it's a lot easier to do on the bench than in the freezer .Update: ice maker failed after 38 days and seller will not refund me , they will send replacement if I pay return shipping on broken unit , this ice maker does not have the same coating in the tray causing it to be noisy and apparently mine broke trying to discharge ice ( gear in unit ) I did not want to put an extra $10 or so shipping into an inferior product and the seller refused to refund me or just ship another one without me having to pay return shipping .I ordered an OEM replacement one for 5 more dollars and it looks exactly like the original that came with the Whirlpool .Don't make my $47 dollar mistake , buy OEM replacement parts .
