I bought this same timer switch 3 years ago to use with an exterior light because the house I bought is older and it does not have neutral wiring. It worked fine for three years and then suddenly stopped working. I bought the same switch as a replacement. After installation, it would not work even though I installed it in the same manner as the original switch. The timer would not work. When I programmed the timer per the instructions and set the mode to AUTO, the light would come on (even though it was supposed to be off) and the only way to turn it off was to turn the unit toggle switch to OFF versus pressing the MAN button per the instructions. I reprogrammed it several times, same result. I contacted Woods customer service and they could not trouble shoot it. I reversed the wiring at their suggestion and it still would not work. I was advised that their technical team would look at the stock on hand to see if the units in stock had the same issue. After three weeks I decided to return the switch to Amazon rather than wait for them to communicate with me let alone send me a unit that worked. Avoid this product unless there is some indication they have resolved the problem.

Reliable and easy to program. Had years of service with no hitches so far.No backlight, so good lighting is needed in the area where installed for programming.

Works amazing. Super easy to install. Backup battery keeps the timer going when the house loses power during storms so you don't have to reprogram. Way more programmable modes than I could ever use. Great product!

Excelente Timer. Te deja programar fácilmente encendidos y apagados de lo que tengas conectado al circuito en el que vaya. Si se va la luz no se desprograma, pues tiene una batería que guarda la programación hasta por 30 días! Totalmente recomendable 👌🏻

Llevo poco más de 2 meses con el timmer, es excelente, se puede programar a antojo.Su instalación es fácil y se puede utilizar en modo automático o manual.

This heavy duty times is a real blessing for us. We had to travel and leaving home without lights would be inviting trouble. I had bought a similar timer from hardware store - one for the price I paid here for 2 switches !!. Additionally the item from store was not of right color either. They had only white.Timer is real easy to install and fits in the same face plate for the wider type of switched we had. Programming the timer is real easy. Provides 2 modes for operation. Automatic, Random and Manual. Random mode randomizes on off times to make it look like it is being turned on by someone but not a programmed switch. Multiple on off times per day and programmable for all 7 days or same program can be used for all 7 days.Have had switch for about a month. It has worked flawlessly and very convenient. Only change I would like is, that the indicator lights be green instead of red.One word of caution: Know your wattage requirements on the place where the timer is being used. Easy, just add the wattage rating of all the lights or anything you are trying to control to ensure the timer rating is adequately matched.My wattage for outdoor lighting all add up to just over 1/2 of the wattage rating of the switch. Thus sudden on or off does not create issues.All in all ... very good buy and will buy again when needed.
