I got this one because the reviews were pretty good and this one seemed to have more options for the battery readings than all the other ones I was looking at. I actually had a few cheaper ones so I thought I would try this one. My main issue was that I wanted it to be black to match all my other hardware decor in my campervan.I connected this up to the battery using the directions which were pretty straight forward, and everything seemed to work fine. I did not mount it since I was still testing and did not want to create holes in my wood walls if it didn't work out.After a few weeks I decided it was working fine but still had the problem of it not matching my Black hardware decor. Since the plastic on this device was not smooth and had a kind of satin look to it I thought I would try to paint it using black textured spray paint. I first sprayed the module since that was going to be hidden and it turned out to be exactly the color and texture I needed. So I sprayed the monitor using the black textured paint while leaving the screen protector on it and covered the keys with a piece of tape. I also used some poly urethane spray over the black paint to help it from wearing or chipping off. After I took off the tape and the screen protector I was happy to see that it was perfect and could not tell it used to be grey. Paint stayed on solid even when I tried to scrape it to see if it would come off or peel off.Since I had 2 batteries to monitor I immediately bought a second one and painted that one the same way so I now have 2 matching battery monitors, in Black. Cutting out the hole to flush mount them was probably the hardest part since there isn't much trim so had to be careful. It worked out great and both are mounted in my wood wall and look awesome. Very please with how they look and all the info they provide for monitoring my batteries.

The charge arrow and discharge arrow seem to be backwards. There are fake buttons on the left hand side that serve no purpose. Other than that, it's a nice looking display, works well, easy to install and gives you all the info you need to monitor your system. Bright and clear.

The monitor works correctly and is accurate based on my external measurements. However I spent several hours trying to get the Bluetooth app function installed on my phone. I have given up. I purchased this monitor specifically for Bluetooth. Monitors without Bluetooth are about $30 less.

This is one of the best add-ons for anything with a battery but especially for solar systems. The app is extremely easy to use and has complete functionality. The screen is simple, clear, and easy to use with all data constantly kept up to date. The install is very straight forward and very easy to do. It shows a arrow for charge vs discharge and the amps on both app and screen, so it works especially well for solar systems as it also shows how many AH and how much time your batteries would have left. I can not recommend this enough as it also has alot of saftey features that can be a huge help to anyone. I will be buying another for a wind powered system that I will add to my solar system.
