Just needed a replacement for my ice maker. Extremely long, so if your hook up is far away, should work well.

I recently purchased the Whirlpool 8212547RP Genuine OEM Water Line Installation Kit for my refrigerator, and while I ended up returning it, I still want to give it a 5-star review based on the quality of the product.The kit itself is well-made and comes with everything you need for a proper installation. The instructions were clear, making it easy to understand how to set everything up.However, I mistakenly thought I needed this kit for my refrigerator, only to realize later that my setup was different and didn't require it. All you need to hook up the ice maker in a Frigidaire FRFG1723AV fridge... if your fridge water supply faucet is installed already.We have, so install was no more than 5-10 minutes.Quality is good, price is cheap, delivery is fast.

After many frustrating attempts to mate the compression fitting on my 1/4” flexible copper water supply line with the fitting on my new Bosch fridge’s intake line, I came to the conclusion that Bosch’s tolerances were too tight, and my copper line’s OD was just a hair to big. The copper line’s tip wouldn’t insert into the Bosch fitting, even after cleaning and de-burring it. I suspect it swelled a bit over the years.The solution offered to me by “professionals” was to compression-union a 5’ braided stainless steel hose onto my copper one; and yet, every third review states that these hoses make water taste like rubber, and it never goes away. So after more research, I decided on PEX, and specifically this product.It arrived today, and within minutes I was able to connect it with my Bosch fridge’s fitting, with a water-tight seal after only hand tightening. Given that the opening on the Bosch fitting is only a hair > 1/4’, only the very tip of the molded rubber ferrule on this PEX line would insert; but that was sufficient to get a seal. Water tastes very neutral from this line as well, as expected for PEX. Would highly recommend.
