I used this to re string the jeans with holes in them where the strings have broke, I just used this and restrung where the holes were. It works great and now there is a little give because it is elastic

Exactly what I was looking for, and at a good price!I am making my first shirred dress for my daughter. If you ignore the sloppy, crooked stitches, you can see how well the elastic pulled the fabric with machine stitching and a quick steam. I have a Brother machine, which are (apparently) notorious for having troubles with elastic thread, but after a few tries, I was able to both machine load the bobbin and get it working properly (placing the bobbin in a way that it maintains the tension was the trick - you have to manhandle the threading a bit when loading it to keep it functioning).Anyway, unless this thing completely falls apart in the wash later, I can definitely say I approve of the product.
