In the description it doesn't warn you that the app is only available in a app store for I phones. Android you have to download from manually and install on non Samsung phones... luckily a friend gave me one he didn't use anymore. there is a sweet spot for the nfc to work... kind of a little lower than dead center of sign. I put on my office door and change the messages daily to cheer up the other workers :)update 11/15/2024: I guess attaching it to the door may have not been a good Idea.. found out that its held together by magnets not glued, and one time the door shut it came apart and the screen flopped down, and the data ribbon separated from the screen... I messaged the seller about this on 11/14/2024 in the am, and it has been over 24hrs and no responses yet... will update if I do.update 11/18/2024 they say they are shipping a replacement... awaiting its arrival.update again.. new one arrived all is well again, coworkers enjoying the daily fun notes :) and added some tape to the case to not allow accidental separation.

I'm using this digital display on my fridge to share information and sometimes as just a photo frame. The accompanying app is bare bones with no instruction but easy enough to figure out on your own. You can transfer images on it through the app and the display is surprising clear. I think the best thing about this display that makes it stand out a from all the others is that it does not need batteries to work. I'll never have to take it down to recharge.Transferring text/images can be a little tricky at first, but it isn't a big learning curve. And even though it's a black/white E-paper screen, it presents pictures fairly clearly. Having to take it down only for changing the information and never having to recharge it is a definite plus.

I love the fact that this thing doesn’t have to be plugged in and can just take an image file or generate a text image to display. Like other people complained about, finding the sweet spot of the NFC chip is a little finicky, but once you know where it is, it’s not a big deal. The app to upload images isn’t a super user experience design or anything, but it has all the features you would need to rotate and scale an image in order to upload it, so no complaints here. My spouse ended up printing a little bracket for this thing to hang using a 3-D printer so we can easily take it out, update, and slip it back in.
