I use this on my fridge for my work schedule. I download a screen shot and put it directly on the 4.2 Eink display.

The official app for this product is not available on the Google Play store and must be installed by going to the Waveshare website, downloading the APK, and clicking through Android's warnings about installing untrusted, unverified, 3rd party software on your phone. Major red flag.As far as I know, the device cannot be used with any other NFC apps available on the Google Play store, making it useless unless you're willing to potentially compromise the security of your device.Could be a good product, who knows. I'm not going to risk it. Will update my review if the official app becomes available on the Google Play store or I figure out how to use it with a different app.

Doesn't work when updated form the Android app. The app declares success but the screen stays blank.

It works when using a phone and their app but you can’t use it for Arduino or Raspberry Pi projects because the libraries are not released. Asking for them on GitHub suggests that they don’t plan on releasing them any time soon.
