I have to hold down the top to get it to work &I have to continue to push button over & over to keep it going! It worked good at first without holding top, but that doesn't last very long & I have bought 4 & they all have done the same thing! There seems to be a flaw in the design.

I like it but had to add a felt spacer under the shaker to fill a gap left by missing part on machine. Also sometimes I have to restart it two or three times before it keeps going. Great price, if this ever quits I have to get another...

This is the second machine we've purchased in the past three years--and both have broken after very little use. While they work, they are fine...but be prepared to have it break down after a couple dozen (if that) sessions.

Perfect drinks every time! Not sure what the other reviewers are doing but this is a great little machine. Like one reviewer said - it's not rocket science, just a perfect little shaker/stirrer for drinks. This is actually a replacement for our previous Waring martini shaker that lasted over a decade. I was ESTATIC to find this one here on Amazon as I thought we might not be able to replace our former machine as it was a gift back in 2004. We keep our Vodka in the freezer all the time as well as our glasses. My hubby likes vodka martini's. We've never had the need to repeat the cycle on the machine to make the drinks colder as it's icey cold after the first 'stir'. What I did notice right away is this machine is a lot quieter than the one we had. The lid does stick once in awhile but releases easy enough with a little twist. When we have guests they all get a kick out of our shaker and it does make perfect drinks. So sit, relax and enjoy your ice cold martini - it's simple. Not sure what the other reviews are doing but it's not a complicated process. Add ice, booze - cover - place in machine - lock the shaker in place and push a button. Viola! You have an ice cold drink! Not cold enough? Add more ice!

This purchase was our back-up product. There doesn't seem to be many available any more and we use this Martini Maker daily -- and not only for Martinis. We've often wondered why more bars didn't use this. It's easy, it gives a professional cocktail, and the choice of 'stirred' or 'shaken'. If you like your martinis this is your product. We give them for house gifts (now that they're less expensive) and the appreciation level is always high. Don't be at home without one.
