This was purchased for my grandson at the recommendation of his ortho doctor. My grandson was born prematurely, and is doing fabulous by the way. He does have some problems when trying to walk with leaning forward to much. He uses 3 to 4 times a day and it’s helping him with his balance. I noted that some people claim that it was uncomfortable. He doesn’t seem to mind it. I think that if a child would stay too long not it it could be become uncomfortable. But for 15 to 20 Minute uses at a time There is no apparent discomfort. I am happy with the purchase. And Would recommend to friends and family. Appears to be made very well and she would hold up for the time that we are going to need it

This is a very useful and fun tool. Used this with a 7 month old. She cried a little and we weren't sure if she was scared or uncomfortable. Later used with a two year old who just wanted to have fun with it. She pointed out that it can be uncomfortable under the arms if child's weight is not totally on the feet.

My review highlights the design and benefits of this excellent product. First, its design. The padded torso wrap can be quickly and comfortably positioned on the chest of a squirming toddler wannabe, and its Velcro-mating left and right flaps quickly secure it behind the child well enough to ease the clicking together of its fail-safe, pinch-release, quick-buckle cinch. The separate left and right hoisting straps are adjustable to the height of the adult; like the quick-buckle cinch, they can be removed and reattached easily. When the child is crawling, an adult can conveniently hook a single hand's index finger through both hoist-strap loops. When a novice, fall-prone toddler shifts to a standing position, the separate hoist straps—each held in a separate hand—give the adult superb control with which to arrest sideward falls against sharp table corners and other hazards. Now, the benefits. When a child is figuring out how to maintain balance while standing still, slack created by slight lowering of the adult's hands removes all interference with the sensations and muscle reactions whose coordination the child is trying to master. Once the child starts taking steps, out-of-balance tumbles can be arrested late enough for the novice to have sensed its mistake (and to have learned a little from it) but soon enough to escape the pain and potential injury of a crash against the floor, ground, or menacing object. Like a gymnast learning a new move with the help of a safety harness, the novice toddler is empowered to make necessary mistakes while being spared avoidable bruises, trauma, and interruptions in its self-motivated quest for mastery.

My 10 month old was eager to start walking and I kept bending forward most of the time hurting my back so I decided to buy this and I did like it. It's not perfect but I think it did help my son in building support and strength in his feet. I only used it for a couple weeks because now he's only holding on to one of my hands and walks without any support (I don't have to bend my back anymore). I also didn't leave it on for more than 30 minutes because I feel that it hurts or felt uncomfortable for him at the bottom of the armpits. Bottom line, I would suggest finding something cheaper than this.
