These saws work well for pruning small twigs in tight places where pruners can't fit, but are for light duty only. The blades bend very easily which can be helpful in hard to reach places, but in general greatly limit their usefulness.

For decades I have used an old Ginsu knife to divide certain perennials that have a tough, thick root structure. Lately it seems to not be up to the task. So I ordered the VUFVOID 3PCS Outdoor Portable Hand Saw set. I would never use one of these saws to cut down a tree, but for dividing plants they are sturdy enough and have good teeth. And since they are small, I can see how one could be easily tucked in for unexpected uses on a camping trip. Also, I found the steel to be thick enough not to bend during use
