First of all, the unboxing was a sweet surprise. Once you remove the cardboard, the fan is protected from scuffs by a big fabric bag rather than being wrapped in plastic. Nevermind the eco-friendly aspect, it's just a classy thing to see. And for the money it makes a nice impression.I've been hesitant about this model for a long time because of all the reviews about the rattling issue, but I decided to pull the trigger on one finally after hearing that the RMA process is apparently reasonable and that there's a 5 year warranty.Anyway this one is quiet and powerful out of the box. It's next to my bed. Build quality seems good so far. Nothing obvious to complain about.Oscillating feature works perfectly. There's a slight audible click at one point right before the direction changes but to be honest I kinda have to listen for it. Hopefully it will remain quiet over time.Engaging and disengaging the mechanism is easy and seems solid. The bakelite style controls are also a nice touch. Really keeps the period feeling. As big fan of retro design I'm loving the look of the fan.The design of the blades is a big reason why I bought it and it sure moves a lot of air. The size is perfect - takes up less space than the 12" it's replacing. Speeds seem pretty much standard for any fan these days. What I notice most is how much air it moves. As far as value for money, that's not why you buy this one. This is a beautiful statement piece of furniture that also cools you, rather than "just a good value fan". However for the money, which is a lot more than I would normally pay for a fan, it's great for me and is everything that I was hoping for. Hopefully it'll be quiet longer than the warranty period... We'll see. I have to say that I think a 5 year warranty is great though. Gives me peace of mind after blowing my budget like this on a fan.

We wanted a fan for our room that isn’t ugly, and we really liked the vintage look of this one. Reading about how these are made to last, with a factory in the US, we decided to try this one. So far it works as expected, keeping us cool through the hot summer nights. Time will tell about the quality, but it looks and feels to be very sturdy (metal body and cage - I read that the blades are plastic; can’t tell, but it doesn’t bother me one way or another) and was carefully packed in mostly recyclable materials (cardboard) with a note attesting to the attention paid to each fan leaving the factory. I liked the green color that was sold a couple of years ago and is no longer available, so decided to go with the gunmetal grey. It looks really nice, and I may even prefer it now! Really happy with the purchase!Btw, noise level is as expected for this type of fan. Three speeds and oscillates. Full speed is too loud for me to sleep at night, so I keep it on the middle speed.

I would marry this fan if I weren't already married. It moves air beautifully, and it's so quiet.Best of all (besides how elegant it is - it seriously is like the Chrysler Building of fans), is that you only have to take out one screw to remove the grill and clean the blades. So I can keep it nice. Love. Recommend. My last Silver Swan lasted over 20 years, and I'm still going to try to resurrect it. But that one is not ice blue.

These mid-C-mod fans are beautiful, sturdy, elegant, efficient, quiet and centerpiece for any home, dorm, office or—well—anywhere.Life goes by so fast. And, as we've learned in 2020, things can go all pear-shaped in a moment.Don't go through life with a substandard fan. Lasko? Are you serious? They actually have a fuse built into—as in it can't be replaced if it goes out and so they put a tag on the cord saying that if the fuse goes out you are to "discard product."This is a great company. As Aeolus is my witness, I shall not by another common fan again! When you need a gentle breeze in an instant, close your eyes, cross your arms and yell out the word: VOR-NA-DO!!!!
