I love this stereo microscope. Though I ordered the "Vision Scientific" microscope, what I received is a "Walter" scope which appear to be virtually the same other than a different name badge and the lighting rheostat dial is on the side rather than the stage, which I find beneficial especially if you are viewing a large specimen on the stage where the stage mounted dial would be in the way. The scope is Easy to assemble and the optics are superb. The microscope is very sturdy. I love the separate dials for the overhead and under stage lights, although I added a LED ring-light to the scope for more broad uniform lighting. The zoom magnification feature is excellent. This scope seems to be a great value compared to other trinocular zoom stereo microscopes I have seen online, although I have not used others. I bought this one to add to the LinkMicro digital scope and Amscope trinocular compound microscope that I use. Customer service is very fast. I emailed the company for a digital version of the manual and within minutes I had the requested document in my email. (This is opposed to ZERO responses from Amscope despite FIVE emails to them with questions re: my compound microscope) I am extremely happy with this purchase.

I'll have to write another proper review sometime in the future, AFTER I find out where I can get a replacement set of screws for mounting the LED illuminator.Like the ones that were not packaged with the microscope.Trivial, really.Two little screws to mount an LED light that otherwise dangles uselessly and stops me from being able to see what I'm doing.Which is the whole point of a microscope.Being able to see what one is doing.Which I can't do.Because some nimrod forgot to pack something.Two.Tiny.Insignificant.SCREWS.Well, at least it isn't an O-ring.

The microscope is beautifully made. Very solid and quality all around. Views are superb! Love the zoom feature. Mine arrived missing the .5x and 2x adjusters but getting them sent by Amazon. Superb stereo microscope, and highly recommend this brand and model.

I hadn't expected to find a 'scope of this quality/specifications at this price. The first specimen I looked at was a dead house fly, which in my opinion is a great test of a stereo scope because you really get a feel for the depth of field and the zoom magnification. Frankly it exceeded my expectations.When I tried the .5x and 2x auxiliary objective lenses it was a different matter - the range of movement for focussing is too small to work with either of them, which is why I've given it 4 stars instead of 5.With the .5x lens you cannot move the objective lens far enough away from the specimen to get it into focus. There are two positions for the lens unit and the standard lenses use the lower position. For the .5x objective lens you'll have to remove the upper light unit then unbolt the lens unit and move it to the higher position.With the 2x lens you cannot move the objective lens close enough to the specimen to get it in focus, you'll have to mount the specimen a couple of centimetres above the stage. Not too much of an issue if you are using incident light but a bit of a pain if your specimen is on a slide and you are using transmitted light.

El microscopio tiene muy buena calidad de imagen, el zoom, la iluminación, es más de lo que esperaba, en relación calidad-precio es un excelente producto.
