The light can get very bright which is nice for high-magnification microscopes. I used the ring light with a Vision Scientific 0.5x reducer (VAF05) and it works very well. As some others have said the plastic is a little thin on the screws so don't over-tighten them. The adapter has a lip for the screw ends so the screws don't need to be very tight.

I've attached it to my Dremel while it's mounted in the Dremel drill press. Dimmable and excellent all around. Highly recommended for many applications in the shop besides it's intended use for binocular microscopes.

It works great and fastens securely with the three screws. Very bright and really is a great value. I would buy again!

Lots of light, at a low price. Way better than the crappy light that came with my microscope. And at a much lower price than similar lighter sold by my microscope's manufacturer, with equal if not Superior performance.I attached some velcro with a sticky backing to the objective so that the screws, on this light, have something to grab hold of. Works well.I don't encounter any problems when using this light while taking photos (with my microscope). Very Pleased.
