This is a unique lens from Viltrox. I enjoy some of their other products already so I did not hesitate ordering this. This lens is incredibly cheap...but you won't think the lens is cheap at all. It's got a lot of things going for it.Size: This thing is small...very small. You will think it's a lens cap. It disappears on my full frame Sony body. With full frame, having a tiny lens isn't that important, since the bodies are relatively large. It almost seems the body has no lens when you put this on. It's a plus either way though...it weighs next to nothing (60G or 2 ounces ).Focal Length: 28mm is a nifty length to go with. It's almost a wide angle, and just under the venerable 35mm focal length. Consider it a 35mm with a little bit extra width. This is a street photography lens by design, though it can double easily as a landscape lens as well.Aperture: It's a fixed f/4.5 lens. You cannot adjust the aperture in any way...and for some folks that is a real plus...simplicity itself. You have a fixed focal length and a fixed aperture...keeps everything simple. At 28mm and at f/4.5 on a full frame lens, pretty much everything will be in focus...almost.Focus: It's got auto focus! At this price...pretty amazing. Is it as fast as my native high end Sony lenses? Of course not, but it's still fast enough. Considering the subject matter...street, landscape...the auto focus is great. There is no manual focus. For one thing it would add substantially to the size of the lens, so I'm glad they chose AF instead of just manual. Manual is what I expect at this price point, and I love manual lenses. The fact that they have put AF on this lens is a bold statement. The AF btw is very very quiet...really good.Images: I have provided three images. One is a comparison of size between my Sony 20mm f/1.8 and this Viltrox 28mm f/4.5. Lol...ridiculous! The other two are examples of what this lens can do on the fly. Only thing holding you back here is...you...not the lens.Sharpness: It's very sharp pretty much across the board. The edges fall off but just a tad...no one will notice it. My images show that much is true.Oh...and this little beast is chipped!! I get full EXIF communication. I don't have to check my stabilization settings...all done automatically. This lens is really designed to be slapped on and to get imaging pronto.Conclusion...frankly for the price asked...this is a steal of a lens. Viltrox has made an amazing lens here. Just put it on and use your imagination. It's all on auto mode, all you have to do is find nice subject matter...the lens will do the rest.Any beginner can handle this lens. I'm no beginner and I love this thing...it's a gas.Recommended! Great job by Viltrox.
