It is quality construction like all Viking Products. I would recommend it. There was a steamer basket included, but no round metal grate as I have had with past cookers. This is useful when you are not steaming but don't want the food (e.g. a roast) directly on the bottom. search Amazon for this: G Gallize Stainless Steel Steamer Rack - Multi-Purpose Round Cooling Rack for Baking, Canning, Cooking, Steaming, Lifting Food in Pots, Pressure Cooker, Steamer and Oven (8 inch) That is what I got and it fits perfectly

I have used this 3 times and I have had to take it apart and dry the gasket and lid every time I tried to pressure it up. There's no way to know if you have enough pressure or to much. It takes at least 30 minutes longer to cook than the cheap pressure cookers. It spits all over the stove while cooking and makes a terrible mess. I have been using pressure cookers for 49 years and never had so much trouble. You need a video to explain how to use this useless garbage. Great concept, horrible experience! The only good experience is how fast the pressure releases,,other than that, it totally sucks! Don't waste your money! Buy a cheap one that does what it is supposed to do!

La olla nunca selló, goteaba por todos lados. La compramos por la marca y otros productos Viking que tenemos, pero la devolvimos por recomendación del fabricante

This is the real deal. It’s a stove top pressure cooker. It has two pressure settings. The lid is very easy to put on and remove. The gauge does not make the rattling sound a lot of them do. Very easy to use. It’s not cheap, but I have had the cheap ones and even tried the electric ones. Which only lasted a year or so and operate at a lower pressure than stove top models. With this one I can control the heat and time by just adjusting the stove.

Couldn't believe how easy to use and how well built this product is. For years my mom had been the only one using a pressure cooker, because I was always so afraid of them. This Viking pressure cooker is built the way a pressure cooker it's supposed to be. It's a really awesome product and it seals well. The pressure comes out of the top, not sideways. It has a clearly visible pressure indicator and the pot has volume. You can actually cook proper amounts with this, without having to open in the middle of cooking just to add water, or prepping half amounts. This is the right size. It also has measurement lines inside for water volume. It's a fantastic product! Thank you Viking!

If I had a "show kitchen", this would be on display permanently. It's beautiful. The lid-mechanism wouldn't be out of place on a submarine or space station. It's easy to operate (no fiddly aligning of notches needed) but very safe. The stainless steel is very solid. This is built to last. I especially like the pop-up pressure indicator. This pressure cooker replaces an aluminium Prestige cooker that I purchased in 1985. It got badly pitted when I burned some sweet-potatoes. My new pressure cooker will almost certainly still be going well in 30+ years, and no worries about pitting. Love it.
