This footed cocktail mixing glass uses thicker glass than I'm used to for mixing glasses, but it does a good job of keeping the ice from melting too much while I'm stirring, and it makes the glass nicely weighted so I don't have to worry about tipping it over accidentally if I bump it.The decorative design (“Turkey”) is simple but nicely done and elegant. Both a hawthorne and julep strainer fit well in the opening of the mixing glass, and despite the weight, it's an easy glass to strain one-handed.My only complaint is that there's an obvious seam that I don't typically see with mixing glasses along one side, but for a list price of $16.66, it's easy to overlook.It’s a nice glass for any home bar. I recommend it.

I consider this in every day cocktail mixer as it’s made from soda glass it’s not actually crystal, but has the etching of what would be a crystal cocktail mixer. This can be used as a vase for fresh flowers very simplistic in its design can be used to make it martini, pretty much anything that you would need to hold a liquid in use it to water the plants fancy way or to refill the coffee maker with water it’s a multipurpose mixer, every day use piece glassware. It’s sturdy and dishwasher safe.

This review is for the Cocktail Geek 750ml Stemmed Cocktail Mixing Glass Stirring Glass (Elysia).I used the Cocktail Geek for last night's libation. I measured the mixing glass as holding 722.19 grams of water. Close enough to the 750 ml claimed. The Elysia pattern is attractive.For the modest asking price the Cocktail Geek mixing glass is a good value. However the glass is cheaply made, and it shows. There are visible seams in the front and back where the glass was molded. The pattern, though pretty, is molded, not cut. And the thick rim is rounded. Granted I am comparing the Cocktail Geek to significantly more expensive mixing glasses that I have.If you only need a functional mixing glass rather than a work of art, you would probably be happy with the Cocktail Geek.

My husband is a bartender and loves collecting new bar tools, including a collection of different styled mixing glasses. He doesn't have a mixing glass like this one and thought it was a beautiful addition to his collection. He likes the ribbed design, which adds to its elegance but also its functionality, making it easier to grip.The mixing glass is made out of soda lime glass, which typically isn't very durable due to its thinness, but this mixing glass is made really thick so durability isn't a concern with this one. Also, soda lime glass has thermal shock resistance, making it perfect for professional bartending since you can take it hot out of the dishwasher and throw cold ice cubes in it right away, because of the thermal shock resistance this is possible and won't shatter the glass.My husband mixed up a drink in it, and came to find that it fits a julep strainer perfectly and it stirs real nice, especially due to it's rounded edge on the bottom which contributes to the ease of stirring a drink. He also concluded that you could probably stir 7 drinks in it at a time, so it has a large capacity which is perfect for a professional bartender who may need to make the same drink but for multiple people at a time. Even if you're having company, this mixing glass is a nice addition to have whether for personal use in a home bar or professionally.
