My print quality had waned so I finally got to try the Vantay DR420. Upon unpackaging and placing next to the original, they are fairly close in appearance. The DR420 did fit the printer precisely. I had recently replaced the toner cartridge so I was looking for a solution to the lack of quality on my black and white prints. Comparing the printed pages after initially changing the drum resulted in a lesser quality appearance with the new drum. I then changed the printer settings to 600dpi from 300dpi and the difference was even more pronounced. The new drum was producing lesser quality than the old one! Out with the new in with the old. Next analysis is "new" toner cartridge. I digress.

This seems to be a perfect drop-in replacement for my Brother MFC-7360N B&W laser printer. I got that printer used 5 years ago, and it's still going strong. Very happy with this drum kit, as it fixed the issues I was having with streaks in my print.

At work I print so much I have 3 identical Brother printers. I replace a toner at least one every week and replace drums several times a year. I got so tired of schlepping to the office supply store for new drums and paying what those crooks were charging me. Twenty bucks for a generic drum is a miracle and works just as well. Buy two, get free shipping and save even more.

I had a bad drum in my 2230, and this was an easy swap. I had no issues with replacing. I did have trouble with resetting the counter, but I found that this isn't a drum issue, and more of a skill issue on my side :)I had no issues with inserting third party toner into this as well. Brought the printer back to life with no noticeable loss of quality for my document printing needs.
