Perfect for kids. My kids and I use these walkie talkies around the house or outside when playing hide and seek or cops and robbers. They are easy enough for my kids to operate and have a pretty decent range. They don't take batteries so that's a plus. Simply plug them in and they're ready to go in no time.

These Walkie talkies were entertaining for a day. The talk button broke the first day. I can’t review to the positive because one broke the first day.

I will preface this review by saying that we have girls and they couldn't care less about the color of the walkie talkies, some pastel and pink, bright, or whatever, was not a problem. As for the range of these going for 3KM or over a mile and half, not so much, by any stretch of the imagination. If you are looking for professional walkie talkie quality here you are several hundred dollars under price range in every way and may wish to look at some tactical gear. For kids play in the neighborhood and casual use for hiking, or anywhere you are within less of a mile away and have less shielding obstructions (steel, concrete, heavy barriers), these are great. The kids have fun with them and they are easy to use. You have a good selection of channels to go through and select from. Sound quality is okay and as long as one speaks clearly, you can understand what's being communicated. Works with other compatible sets (same kind from the same manufacturer), if you need more than a set of two of these. They come with their own USB to USB-C plug-in charger cable, but no outlet plug in, which is fine, as we have several of these already around the house.

When we first received these, they worked great. The sound was not the best, but for children these were perfect. Then we started changing settings to see what these were capable of. We changed channels and began having issues. At first, the sound was crackling. Then nothing. We changed other settings to try to get them to work to no avail. As of now, the only setting that works (but only sometimes) is a "listening" setting where the walkie listens for any noise and it will "turn on" as if you're holding the button. This is not ideal as you don't want this to transmit anything being said. Overall, these are terrible.
