I've purchased from Underdusk Miniatures before, and they never disappoint. *Monsters, Mimics, and Mysteries* is no exception—these are high-quality, well-made miniatures that are perfect for any tabletop RPG.One of the standout features of this set is the inclusion of both mimic and non-mimic versions of the same objects. They are handy to have in a DM’s toolkit for improvised maps and battles, making it easy to adapt encounters on the fly. The attention to detail is outstanding, and the painted representations on the website are true to what you receive.The stat blocks provided are excellent, making it easy to incorporate these creatures into any campaign. Some of my favorites from the set include the menacing Chimera, the clever Door Mimic, and the eerie Haunted Horseman—all beautifully sculpted and full of character.If you're looking to add some variety and surprises to your game, this set is a must-have. Highly recommended!

These miniatures are great. Cool unique designs and great quality. Also the warning about the possibility of miniatures being delivered with defects is real. The only one I had with a defect was the Krampus figure, his upper body was on backwards. Not a big deal for me, easy fix. They are 28mm scale and the box comes with a QR code for their DnD 5e stat sheets that give you a background for each character.

I got this set for the mimics and they do not disappoint. You can run a game wherein just about everything is a mimic and you'll have something to represent quite a few of the nasty critters in surprising ways. Prepare to laugh maniacally as the barbarian opens the door only for the door to become a mimic. The rogue to examine the grave and it becomes a mimic. The book on the floor? Mimic.It's not all just mimics though. There are a variety of niche and weird monsters here to suit your mansion / weird dungeon / otherworldly scenario. Sizes are fairly small, more 25mm than 28mm to me, and non-heroic (so normal sized hands, head and feet). Should be fine with 28mm assets anyway. Detail in sculpts will get better as we get more releases. They range from a 6 to an 8 out of 10 for me, with most of the sculpts on the higher side. All in all a very fun collection of monsters, NPCs and bosses!

This is the second box I have gotten from Underdusk Miniatures, and I will be sure to get whatever they come out with after this! My Chaotic Encounters box was perfect to start building up my collection of miniatures to play D&d, whereas the Monsters and Mimics box is something I can get excited about as a DM! I cannot wait to have a player see a book on a table, only to replace it with the mimic version of the same book! There are multiple items that have a mimic duplicate, a couple of objects to bring your playmat to life (like a coffin and dragon skull), and multiple demons, ghouls, and monsters! They even include a promise of quality (with an email to contact them if something is broken or missing) and a QR code with stat blocks for everything in the box! If you’re looking for a gift for any dungeon master, this is a great place to start!
