I use this for my Zhiyum Crane M Gimbal and it works great when I need to set down the camera for a minute. I always make sure that it is stable because my gimbal and camera are top heavy but the product is very sturdy.

This is my second purchase of an Ulanzi product as a Christmas gift. My adult daughter is an up-and-coming Instagram bakery proprietor in Phoenix, AZ and I've been trying to make regular contributions to her photographic arsenal. This stand will work with virtually any device that uses standard tripod bolt threads, including video and still cameras, game cans, light rigs and shoes, microphones, etc. In my case, the Ulanzi stand will be used to stand up DJI's phenomenal Osmo Mobile 2 gimbal.Ulanzi's products are known for their simple design, affordability and easy to use controls and this stand is no exception. Whether you are new to video or a seasoned vet looking for a more professional look, this stand is a smart and inexpensive way to improve your content from the ground up.

I wanted something light, small, and easy to carry on my EVO Pro with a GoPro Hero 4. This tripod fits the bill.I wanted something easy to pack in the case, and something small I could fold up and use on the Gimbal without adding a lot of weight.I wanted the ability to set the EVO Pro with my Hero 4 on a table, and this fits the bill!It is plenty stable to set this down on a table. No it is absolutely not stable on rocks and things and especially if your surface is leaning. If that was important to me, I would have gotten a tripod that has longer legs. As it is,, I wanted something small to put on and carry, so if I need to, I can set this down for a second without turning the gimbal off.I do agree, that in wind, the EVO pro would be blown over, with your gopro. For that purpose the bigger, heavier gimbal that is going to add size is better for that purpose.I hike with this, with my arm bent, so I really don't want to add weight. The gimbal and camera are heavy enough as it is.With the EVO Pro, there is some flex in the Z direction(up or down) with the legs of this gimbal, so the legs do flex a little because they are plastic.Summary:I like it, and this is what I wanted.

This thing is cool! I bought one for my EVO PRO Gimbal because I'm always needing to set it down and I doesn't stand up. So I have to turn it off and lay it down which defeats the purpose. So I got online and say this tripod. I was skeptical at first but gave it a try anyways. My first impressions is this seems well made. Its plastic and nothing fancy per se but it just feels solid. So i screwed it into the bottom of my Gimbal which was a perfect fit. I folded the legs out and stood the gimbal up. It was perfect! It didn't even wobble! Now it can slightly wobble if I'm not careful when I install a cold shoe/mic bracket on the bottom as well. This is to be expected since the mic hangs out some.Anyhow, when not in use, I simply fold them in and the diameter is about the same as my Gimbal. So its very slender and hardly noticeable. Not to mention it works well when you need them.

I bought this little tripod specifically for use on a cellphone gimbal. It is fantastic for that purpose. The rating I give this is reflective of the price. It is super cheap so the fact that it is plastic does not get it a detraction at this price point. Yes I would like it better if it were metal, but then it would cost more and likely weigh more as well. The fact that it is small, light, and cheap makes it the best thing i have found for the cell gimbal. It it is just big enough that I can plop down my gimbal with the phone installed, but small enough to then pick it up and not have a huge extension once it is closed.I used SmoothQ, but I think the same would be true for any cellphone sized gimbal.
