I have a Persian that’s a little over 2 years old. She doesn’t respond to catnip AT ALL, so I was looking to see why and if there was an alternative to catnip. I found silvervine and these toys. As soon as I took them out of the package she didn’t seem interested, so I thought well, another bust. After about 15 minutes of the toys being on the floor and me positioning them close to her, she’s laying peacefully with her head propped up on another toy next to them. The silvervine seems to have a sedating effect on my kitty. You can tell she’s feeling good lol Her eyes are a little dilated which is supposed to be a common effect of silvervine. Anyway, so far so good. It’s not supposed to last forever but she seems to be enjoying it while it lasts lol

I guess my 2 year old cat loved it so much, she forgot she was a cat. I swear that toy was SOAKED from her slobber! Gross but she loves it 😂

Elodie doesn't care much for catnip. She has discerning tastes-- until this package arrived, at least. We left the package laying on the bed for an hour before she noticed it. She instantly tried digging through the bed like it was a Minecraft quest. Once we took the first toy out of the bag she lost her mind. 20 minutes of intense murder later she was practically hypnotized and slept for hours.I'm worried she may need an intervention.My only issue is the zipper seems somewhat fragile and the silvervine is loose just inside the zipper. Packaging it in a small sachet would be a better design and make refilling it much easier. Other than that, 5 stars for Elodie's reactions alone.

I bought this because my cat loved her previous catnip kicker, but I had bought the non-refillable kind, and that brand was no longer available. This is very cute, and a fun idea, but it went wrong on a few counts. First, the silvervine inside is very limited and weak. Did nothing for my cat, didn't even pique her interest. Second, the compartment for refilling is small and restricts the catnip (or whatever you put into it) to one side of the toy, possibly buried too far in as well. I put her favorite (strong) catnip inside, but it only held her interest momentarily. Third, the zipper is not easy to maneuver, even for my small fingers, without catching fabric and stuffing, or spilling out the silvervine or catnip. Not sure how long that will last.So cute idea, but definitely wouldn't spend this money again. Will be looking for the other brand off Amazon.
