This insert beats our previous very expensive broken Dimplex insert.

overall a good buy. Height was insufficient for placement, however I used the exhisting space of the insert removed and adjusted to look 5 Star, One thing that was an important extra was the safety features. Not mentioned in the blurb but putting anything in front of the Heater/Blower automatically switches the system off. This was very good addition.

My fireplace got fried when we had an electrical surge after a storm. I didn't want to spend a lot of money for a new one, so I picked this one because it had pretty good reviews and was just around $100. It came completely assembled, I literally took it out of the box and put it in the console. It came with some pieces of molding, they fit my console great and it looks like the original fireplace.I turned it on and the heat amount is good. The fan is louder than my other one, but otherwise, it's fine. The flame image, however, is ridiculous. It is pretty with the light orange and the yellow, but the red is fire engine red. Bright, bright red. And there are a lot of those. If you're looking for a natural looking flame, better to find a different one.

After reading some reviews, I can see that some people did not get a quality unit.Mine works fine.Are you giving it a five but it's not as easy to install in an area that does not allow you to get to the back of the cabinet to install them out. I had it undo a wall in my trailer so that I could get to it. It also requires Clear and easy air flow to the back of the heater so that it will not overheat and turn itself off. For those that are reading this if you're going to put this somewhere that's in a tight space make sure you have air that gets to it subtle work properly. For what it is it wonderful for the price. It's amazing. I can't believe that somebody can make such an item and sell it in the United States for cheap businessman wise. I'm hoping that the cheapest does not mean it'll die when it's six months or a year because I don't think I can get another one to fit in the same area.That said, I'm hoping that mine will be a quality unit that'll work for years to come.Even if the fireplace died as long as the heater works, I'd be happy!
