My previous pair of skates got scratched badly with only regular boot covers, mainly from doing lunges. So when I upgraded to Edea Chorus 4 months ago, I decided to give these covers a try. These covers fit perfectly on my size 270 Chorus.Since I got them, I have skated 6 times a week, doing several lunges and hydroblades 2-4 times a week. My skates are still scratch-free. These boot covers have shown minimal wear and tear, mostly from removing the velcros after each session. There are three noteworthy points:1. They provide a lot of friction on ice. My lunges now slow me down significantly.2. I was very hesitant to get these because of the logos. To me, boot covers should give me a clean appearance, and the logos on these covers were deal-breakers. Thankfully, the logos can be carefully removed with a knife.3. The product was advertised as a replacement for the traditional, thin boot covers. I would instead suggest to use them both: these boot covers protect your boots. The traditional boot covers go on top of them, giving you a clean look while alleviating stress on the velcros.

The material of the protection is good, but the velcro wears out very quickly and can fall off the boot while skating. This can lead to injuries. I added buttons and additional rubber bands for protection. They really protect the skates very well, but needs to be better secured on the boots.

They stained my $1000 skates yellow. they are nice for the fact you can put them on, leave on and take skates on and off with them on BUT they ruined my skates. Would NOT recommend. I didn't think they’d do anything given the rubbery black material so no clue where this yellow came from. Going to have to find something else to wear now to cover the yellow.

Catastrophe !

These covers can be put on and off without taking off your boots. Also, these covers do not interfere with laces, so I can untie and lace up my boots without taking off the covers. As far as I know this is the only product with this feature. There is a rubber logo on the back of the Velcro, which made it hard for the Velcro to stick (I use US Men’s 9 boots and the rubber comes on top of the curve of my heel). So I removed the rubber logo and since then the covers haven’t come off while skating. So if you have large boots and feel like this product is too short, I recommend removing the rubber. It also makes the covers look aesthetically nicer (no offense to the charity spirit!).As for durability, I have already made an inch cut on the cover when I accidentally stepped on my foot on a failed landing, so I wouldn’t say it is very cut resistant, but it is strong enough that I can still continue using it.
