Very nice quality taking into consideration the price , I paired it with my Leica T with a Haoge lens hood, as my light travel everyday camera and love it , I wish there were more wide angle lenses in silver color from this brand.

I like it, for a beginner like me, get it at the price is awesome. Not having autofocus adds an additional complexity layer that I was looking for. Works really well for me. Next I'll get one for portraits.

First wide manual focusing lens since canon film camera and I have to say I'm impressed with the sharpness this little thing produces on my R7 especially when stepping down at 2 and 2.8 minus the chromatic aberration when the subject directly reflects sunlight at the lenses itself. However, I ran into photos being soft at infinity focus, and I follow the calibrating video artisan put out, I was able to remove 2 of the focus ring screws but encountered 1 stripped screw deadlock inside of the focus ring, now I'm completely stuck with not being able to focus at infinity correctly, and I don't know what to do. Ttartisan its either you should have spent a little time calibrating the lenses before they are sent out, or if you are letting customers manually calibrate which I don't mind, PLEASE have better QC on these tiny delicate parts.

This is an APS-C format lens! It is not designed to nor will it fully illuminate a full frame sensor. It is L-Mount because there are crop sensor cameras with the L-Mount bayonet. Some of the reviews I read complain about severe vignetting, on full frame! Of course it will! It's an APS-C format lens! I am using this lens on a Sigma FP-L full frame camera with 1.5x crop mode enabled and this lens performs well above what its price would suggest. All of the following assume use on an APS-C format sensor or with APS-C mode/crop mode enabled on full format sensors. This lens has respectable sharpness at wide open f1.4 and is very sharp at f2. Edge sharpness is very good at f2 or higher but not bad at f1.4. I think that wide open f1.4 is usable but to me, f2 is where this lens shines for its price. Controls are super smooth and the graded apature stops are very nice. Focusing is smoother and precise. Don’t forget to turn focus peaking on in camera, since this is a manual lens you'll need it. This lens is for those that enjoy manual lenses and know what they are getting into. If you want simple point and shoot, get a auto focus lens. Build quality, fit and finish, and controls all look and feel premium. Metal body with thread on metal lens cap. Very nice. I am more than pleased with this lens. If this lens had cost double or triple it's current price, I would give it four stars because f1.4 is not as sharp as on premium lenses. But! It doesn't cost triple or double what it currently costs! This pens absolutely punches well above its price.
