The ones I got do not work at all. I'm not sure if the silicone or rubber is old and the material breaking down or if it is a design issue but there is no "grip" or tackiness to them so they just spin around the bottle top no matter how hard you try to hold them and the bottle. The black slide can't hold for the same reason, it just moves around without catching or staying set/in place.I am wondering if they have been in stock for too long maybe because it feels like the surface material is coated with powder or something and no longer tacky which prevents them from gripping.I had a Gatorade bottle I couldn't open today so my first opportunity to try them only to find that all 3 are worthless. I asked for a return but it was a January purchase so past the return date.So...I wouldn't recommend buying. Not sure exactly why mine failed but others have had this same issue based on reviews. It (may) depend on if you get new or old stock (?) but even if you get new...if issue is that the material breaks down after time, I would think they would eventually useless like mine?

There is nothing to dislike about these simple fast using Jar and Bottle opener. I struggled for years always asking someone to open things. Now living alone there is no one to ask and I DON'T NEED TO, because of this handy gadget. I have the beginning od Arthritic fingers the worst is opening a bottle or Jar and I no longer struggle at all !! I highly recommend these, I will never be without them now, even bought more for a friend of mine!! Thank you ~

The best jar opener I have ever found. It easily opens jars from pickles to champagne corks. It also needs minimal space in the drawer.

This gadget is simple, but very effective. We use it almost every day to open stubborn jars and lids. It adapts to different sizes quickly, and as we are getting older, it has made these things much easier for us. We gave one of these to our 88 year-old mother, and now she can open a water bottle without pliers!
