J'ai acheté ces fourchettes à fondue à cause des couleurs. Impossible de se tromper de fourchette, on voit très bien laquelle est la nôtre. Bon prix, excellente qualité, très satisfaite de mon achat.

I have three fondue pots sets, the other two are:1) Stainless Steel electric. It seems like these come from multiple manufacturers and all look/function the same. There are fancier looking ones however they are the same design when it comes to heating the fondue. wide and low Non stick bowl connected to an electric burner. similar to this: http://www.amazon.com/Oster-FPSTFN7700-022-Fondue-Pot/dp/B002FWTPIO/2) Simple Ceramic with gel fuel http://www.amazon.com/Trudeau-Nova-Fondue-Piece-Set/dp/B001BFX70I/First let me talk about the the weaknesses of the highly available first fondue pot.The first set of fondue pots are great for broth's. But for Cheese and Chocolate they do not work well. They work ok with cheese however they will burn it to the base and cleaning will be hard (I recommend soaking overnight in water and a squirt of dishwasher liquid). You might think "oh well that's just what happens when I cook cheese". Well with the Trudeau Alto3 and the basic ceramic pots you'll find out that is not true. Because of the double boiler setup the Alto3's ceramic bowl does not burn the cheese. Infact I can usually soak in water for a minute or two and any remaining cheese will come off. The basic ceramic pot will burn the cheese too however the cheese peels off and becomes a weird tastey treat. So basically the non stick on the metal fondue pots does not work. Maybe it works initially but after a bunch of uses it burns off.So I've tried the basic electric pots and I'm complaining about the cheese sticking. So next I tried basic ceramic pots. As I mentioned previously their non stick powers seem to be much better than the basic electric teflon pots. Their weakness is the fuel. You have to have the fuel which is hard to get, and it is hard to control heat wise. It also runs out during long cheese sessions and is in generally kind of annoying. The Alto3 with the ease of electric and the double boiler insert is a combination of everything that works without sacrificing too much or creating new problems. There are a few minor issues which I'll mention later. One other advantage of the Alto3 is that the main design is a double boiler. So you get a stainless steel sauce pot which a ceramic insert fits into. You put your cheese or chocolate in the ceramic and then heat the water in the steel sauce pan and the steam heats the ceramic pot. So once you are done with your cheese course you can take the now dirty ceramic pot off stainless steel pot dump out the hot water and make your broth in the stainless steel sauce pot. No need to have a second fondue set or clean the cheese pot. Unfortunately you would still need to clean the ceramic pot for chocolate course if you were doing that.I have a few minor gripes with Alto3:The first is that the electric cord is way too short. I think they did this as protection from liability if someone were to trip over a long cord and throw hot oil everywhere. The problem is its stupid short and you will need an extension cord. So you will most likely need to use an extension cord. So now I still have the tripping/hot oil hazard however Trudeau is probably protected from liability.Second gripe if you are using the double boiler and the water gets too hot it will start to blow steam this can be kind of annoying maybe dangerous if you don't know about it and learn how to control it. I usually just push the ceramic pot inside the steel pot so that there is a gap for the steam to escape where someone wouldn't be reaching their hand/arm to dip. I think in general you don't want the water to be hot enough that its turning to steam however I like my cheese a little hotter.
