I recently picked the trumpet back up after a long hiatus and was happy to try this sound reflector. As intended, it does direct the sound back at you, making it easier to pick up on tonal quality issues which is exactly what I need as I restrengthen my embouchure and air control. It didn’t come with any instructions for assembly or use, so there was a bit of guessing involved. I did figure it out though. It has several different sizing options marked on it that correspond with your trumpet’s bell diameter for the three screw pegs that attach it. The pegs didn’t mar my bell but only held tight at the nearest to the bell setting. At that setting, the pegs held in place fine. I wouldn’t expect it to hold tight though anywhere other than at sedentary practice (no marching practice with this thing). The $35 USD price at time of review seems a little high to me for what you get but may be worth the investment to you if you need help getting your tone where you want it.

Pretty basic item, not a lot to break so it either works or doesn't. Fit my student trumpet and worked as described. Redirects sound well. Easy to attach and remove. Comes with everything needed to start using out of the box. Just attach it and off you go.
