Easy to use and, what is also important, easy to refill! The latter function is often overlooked, with funnels being essential bits of kit if you want to refill fuel bottles from widemouthed supermarket fuel bottles without spilling the stuff all over the place.

Solid Fuel bottle. I had read review where the plastic was thin, but it is pretty stout. Mine is the .3L which equates to about 10oz and is the size you would want for backpacking using a trangia, unless you are doing extended trips. It will hold Denatured Alcohol, gas, or kerosene. While not stated, I would assume this would be safe for most any petroleum product, but I know that diesel is stored in yellow containers so that it is not mixed up which may be why they do not list it and other products. The valve is very good. I like that it screws down to put pressure on the seal and that makes it virtually spill proof while stored and free flowing when in use. It also has a metal ring around the threads to keep them from warping. It adds a little weight if you are going for lightweight, but it adds to the durability. The valve has two spouts so that it can vent. This is good and bad. With the free flow design, if you tip it over all the way, it will come out both sides if the fuel level allows. If you have more than half a bottle you will want to open the valve before you start tipping it and only tip as far as needed. If you tip it all the way, it will come out the top spout until a vacuum is formed and it starts sucking air. The other option is to keep your finger over the top spout. This is not a big deal, it just takes a little common sense or some experience to figure it out. In the directions on the bottle, it does show depressurizing the bottle before tipping it over. On a hot day, this is definitely a good idea or you may have fuel coming out with some force and have a mess. The red screw top can spin all the way off, so be careful not to lose it. It shouldn't be that big a deal since you don't need to screw it that far for it to operate correctly, but just a heads up. I would hate to lose it in the middle of a trip and have the possibility of fuel leaking everywhere. It also has a small loop as part of the valve to attach it to something. I don't know that it is trustworthy enough to hang the bottle off of, but it might be. It could definitely be used to help secure it so that it cant jump out of a pocket or something. This valve will not fit other types of fuel bottles well. Some people have forced it and made it work a time or two, but the threads do not match up and it ends up leaking.
