I just bought a cheaper 20 dollar "Usb 3.0" fast adapter that kept disconnecting and had low bars and was all around a huge hassle. I decided to give this one which was about 3 times as expensive (roughly 60 or 70 bucks i think) a shot and i'm glad i did. The drivers are built into the stick (plug it in, it acts like a storage device with the drivers in there) and once you install them, it works immediately and well.This item is a floor down from the router and entirely the opposite corner of the house from where the router was installed. It has 5 bars and a solid signal. I cant speak much for the speed as I havent checked but the connection works great so far.IF you're looking for something that works without having to worry, this is it. I've only had it about a week, maybe, but so far so good. If anything catastrophic happens i'll update the review but so far so good.

Bought this wi-fi adapter a few months ago to replace a cheaper one that I had purchased previously and found that it was an AMAZING upgrade. Speeds were great, signal was fantastic and would rarely (if ever) drop. However, after about two months, it's seemed to develop connectivity issues. Like I've seen other low score reviews mention, it just suddenly doesn't work at random. Sometimes I'll boot up my computer and it won't connect to this device automatically even though it's my default one, and it often "disconnects" from Windows after I try to connect to my home network on it. It's been really touch and go over the last week and a half or so. Used to play games with friends, stream on Twitch, watch lots of Disney+ and YouTube, all with only minimal issues. Lately though, I've been pulling my hair out trying to do any of these activities about 90% of the time.When this wi-fi adapter works, it is REALLY good. Starting to wonder what's up with it though since others report the same issues after a few months of use. It still works, and continues to have great speeds when it IS working, but it has become really unreliable overall. Initial two months, five star review. Over the last week or so, one star performance, but it was so solid before this sudden dip that I don't feel right giving the review itself 1/5, so I feel that 2/5 is a little more fair.
