I originally got this to make candle molds with but have had disastrous results with those so far so I'm trying to figure out where to go next with it. I am going to try making some smaller candle molds and see how that goes. It might be that what I made was just too big. I am probably going to go around the house and see what needs to be fixed and then make it out of this!

These thermoplastic beads do soften up and mold very easily if you follow the package directions. They also take a little time to harden back up. So the bigger the thing you are making with the plastic, the longer it will take to harden up. I was playing around with it and made a mushroom that was maybe two inches tall. But it was thick and it kept flopping over before it cooled off. Fortunately you only have to heat it back up to fix it. For smaller items, it should harden up quickly enough. For larger items, you might want to use a wire armature or use cold water to harden it up before it loses shape. Fun to play around with. Would work really well pressed into silicone molds.

I misread the details on this and thought it melted at 100 degrees Fahrenheit. It does not. My tap water comes out at 130 degrees, and it did not melt more than just enough to smash them together like a rice ball with still individual pieces. The temperature written at the top portion of the listing (100/212), and the temperature directions given on the back of the package (80/176) and further down in the written description of the listing (176) are different. When I opened my bag there was one pellet that was mostly black (see photo). I'm not sure what it is contaminated with but it certainly doesn't belong there.
