As the title states. The light this provides is much more powerful than I expected it to be. It illuminates almost as much as my bigger hand held LED lights, so you shouldn’t be disappointed in that department.Where I felt let down was the strength of the magnet. It works and sticks to the gimbal, but it doesn’t take much for it to detach or fly off.

As someone who uses a DJI Osmo Mobile 4 gymbal quite regularly, I was excited when I saw this film light. As expected, it has definitely helped in producing more light when filming in dimly lit environments. The brightness and color warmth is perfect for human skin tones and looks great on video with my Galaxy S22 Ultra. Unfortunately though, this has one major drawback which is why I am giving it 3 stars. The design. The compactness of the light is good, but the attachment is bad. To attach it to the gymbal, you have to adhere a piece to the smartphone holder. You can then stick the light on via a magnet in the attachment. This magnet however is not very strong and the light can easily fall off when rotating the gymbal or if moved suddenly. The attachment also does not have very strong glue and has come off multiple times in my bag. This is a major drawback for me and has forced me to hold the light in my hand which is less than ideal. Overall, I would give this a perfect 5 star rating if the attachment was better. As it stands now, I would only go for this if there is no other option to light your needs.

I know this mini fill light is marketed for use with a gimbal stabilizer, or with a phone, but I use it handheld for macro and people photography with my internally stabilized mirrorless camera, and even use it to see the true colors of diamonds when I'm jewelry shopping.Before I talk about my own experiences, you can have a look at my photos of the included manual. What may look like missing pages are in Chinese and are not included. The last image shows where the built-in magnets are effective (and they're strong!). Not seen, but shown, is where the standard threaded insert is located, to mount this light on a tripod.This is a very small light: 1-7/8" wide x 1-1/4" high x 7/8" thick. It also weighs nearly nothing.What's great about this light is it can be adjusted for light intensity AND light color temperature. You make all adjustments by eye since there are no numerical settings for brightness or color, which may affect repeatability. How bright does this mini fill light get? So bright that if you look directly at the light at full power you will lose sight of everything else, and get after-images when you look away.As for the buttons on the back of this mini fill light, the left buttons adjust light intensity, the right buttons adjust color temperature. The center button is on and off. Maximum color temperature is bluish, nearly like a fluorescent lamp. This can be brought down to halogen, and approach tungsten warm white.I rarely use the built in magnets, though I have perched this fill light onto a long screwdriver to hold it remotely with the screwdriver's handle, to get light in where it was needed. This is a fill light, so I am trying to soften shadows and get catchlights in eyes.Did I mention I use this fill light instead of flash for people photography? Since this light is always on (until you shut it off) you don't have to guess what the fill light will look like in your finished photo, you can look at your camera's live preview. This is great to soften wrinkles and to enliven eyes. I have my own DIY diffuser made from a paper cup and parchment paper to make the light less direct for this skin softening technique, but distance works as well.I have one more use for this light. At highest color temperature I can look at diamonds and have them spill their secrets on how white they are. I do this when jewelry shopping and going to antique stores. When hit with high color temperature light you can easily see the difference between a E and F color, and H and I diamonds look positively dingy. Inclusions are also easier to see. All these diamond colors look more or less the same in room light, where you can blame shadows for any darkness. Makes a difference on what I'm willing to pay, or to see when there's a bargain. So small, this light is easy to carry with you. The magnet may snag, though, so using the included strikes (see the instructions, "patch") makes the magnets behave better.One last note: you are reading a Vine review, which means this product was sent to me without my having to pay for it. I never believed Vine reviews, I felt people would say anything to get free stuff. The Vine program, at least for me, is a little different: I only get what I go out of my way to ask for, and everything I get is reported as income to me, so I'll have to pay income taxes at what will probably be reported as list price. I may actually lose on the deal. But I wanted this fill light as soon as I saw it was available, it's a very featured device in a very small package, I didn't know it existed before I saw it available for review, and, hopefully, my experience has been a help to you.

SMALL - It was smaller than I expected, which makes it highly portable. I love my large ring light, but it is bulky and won't fit in some places. This light is small enough to fit just about anywhere.BRIGHT - I was concerned with the size that the light might not be bright enough. I attached pictures to show just how powerful and bright this light can be. In a pitch black dark room, about 18" from the floor or the lowest (least) bright setting it clearly lit up an area 24" wide with less light extending well beyond. On the brightest setting about 18" from the floor, it clearly lit up an area about 38" wide. On the brightest setting moved up about 5 foot it lit up the entire small room.HIGHLY VERSATILE - Probably the most versatile light that I own. You can change the brightness, the color (temperature) of the light, use the magnet to stick on metal, attach it to a tripod, or just set it flat on any surface. It works as a video light, fill light, Zoom meeting light, or even flash light.QUALITY - It comes with a built in diffuser and produces a good quality light for photography or video work. I appreciate that at the warmest setting it is not too yellow. Overall build quality is good, but it is made from plastic except for the metal threaded tripod attachment, which works great. It feels like it would break if dropped, so I am cautious.CONSIDERATIONS - These are not cons for me, but might influence some buyer's decisions. The buttons on the back are really small, so if you have really big hands you might struggle. The power cord used to recharge is a short 11 1/2" when plugged in. The short cord makes it less bulky and more portable, but may restrict where you can charge the light.OVERALL - I highly recommend this light for anyone looking for a zoom video light or a portable light for photography or video work. It's small and light enough to travel better than most lights. I'm amazed how well this works for a small light.

I know this is a mini fill light, but it is much smaller than I had expected. It is smaller than the size of my palm and the battery life is OK, but you have to remember to keep it fully charged otherwise it won't last over an hour.
