I tried Italian and American graters, but they were too coarse for Japanese cooking.This product is perfect.With just a little effort, you can grate a large amount of daikon in no time.This is the first time I've ever seen something so efficient.

What do you expect from a product made in Japan and made of steal? Japanese products are known for their quality, and this grater does not disappoint.This is a beautifully handcrafted grater. Stainless steel and beautiful. It is design specifically for shredding Daikon, and it does this VERY WELL. It fits perfectly over a bowl. It will work with other vegetables as well. It kinda minces them. I have not tested this with cheese, but I would imagine it would be good for this as well.It is sharp! This is a good thing for hard vegetables and roots. The instructions are in Japanese...but THIS IS MADE IN JAPAN for Japanese dishes. This is a brand that Japanese people buy. It is LEGIT, and complaints about the instructions being in Japanese blow me away...use Google translate. Sure, it would be convenient to have the instructions offered in other languages, but this is not a shortcoming of the product. This speaks more to the purchaser's preferences. It is easy to use. It is brilliant at what it does. It is well crafted and there is attention to detail. YES! I recommend this.

I loved this grater before I opened it. The box and grater are pure art. The grater is stainless steel, crafted into a new shape to me. It will hold onto a bowl easily. I’ve test grated everything gratable in my kitchen, with excellent results. Good heavens, even the gratings are beautiful.I’m glad I ordered this item. This handmade treasure is worth every penny of the steep price.

This is clearly a well made item. It comes packaged beautifully for gifting. The blades are very sharp, I will use a protective glove when using, it is that sharp.The only issue I have is that the instructions are all in Japanese. Now I wouldn't want or care since it's just a grater, however it really looks like the instructions help you with technique and getting superior results. The instructions are on thick black paper, also done beautifully.So this is a great grater, but instructions should be converted to English for here.

This is a beautifully handcrafted grater. Made of stainless steel and it is a unique (to me) type of grater made specifically for radishes to make a Japanese condiment. I have tested it with several kinds of hard vegetables and what I noticed is it does something a little closer to mincing, with tiny little flecks of the veggie and plenty of juice extracted. I can see why this type of topping is popular and will keep trying with root veggies. It seems like it would do a great job at making a powdery Parmesan as well so I look forward to trying it with hard cheeses.Quite happy with this purchase and being introduced to a new type of grater.

I have used evil energy fittings for several years and NEVER have I had a failure. With a twin turbo sbc deep in the 9's in the 1/4 mile they are all holding up well to uninstalling and installing them several times without leaking.Look good work good great price.
